Whether you need specific parts for upgrading a workbench or completing a project, there are many rare recyclable items that you shouldn’t recycle and should keep for important uses. Three of the most frustrating to find are the Motor, the Cooling Fan, and the Industrial Battery in Arc Raiders.
These items are great to find and keep in your stash, especially with some of them being needed for the Flickering Flames project in the Gathering Candleberries event. To make the scavenger hunt easier for you, here’s where you can find a Motor, Cooling Fan, and Industrial Battery in Arc Raiders.
Where to find a Motor in Arc Raiders
Motors in Arc Raiders can be found in Mechanical areas, most often by searching car hoods. Because of that, you’ll have an easier time finding them in areas with tons of cars, such as the Parking Garage in the Buried City, or Vehicle Maintenance on Spaceport.
Spaceport is the map with the most Mechanical areas, so I recommend checking there first. If no luck, check all the cars in the Parking Garage in Buried City, or take a look in the various side compartments on buses near the extraction point at the Power Generator Complex.
You can use three Motors to upgrade the Refiner to level 3.
Where to find a Cooling Fan in Arc Raiders
Cooling Fans in Arc Raiders are available in Technological areas. It’s best to check the Research and Space Travel buildings in Buried City for Cooling Fans first. These can be found inside the breachable server doors.
Many buildings on Spaceport are also Technological, such as the Departure Building, Launch Towers, and Arrival Building. Checking here for more breachable doors might net you a Cooling Fan or two, but the Research and Space Travel buildings on Buried City still tend to be the best bet.
You’ll need Cooling Fans to complete an Expedition Project, which can help you reset your character progress.
Where to find an Industrial Battery in Arc Raiders
You can find Industrial Batteries in Arc Raiders around Industrial areas. Similar to the Motor, an Industrial Battery is commonly found inside car hoods, so checking the Parking Garage in Buried City is a good start.
Otherwise, you can check Industrial areas such as Rocket Assembly on Spaceport, or the Hydroponic Dome Complex and Water Treatment Control on Dam Battlegrounds.
Three Industrial Batteries are required for upgrading to Gear Bench level 3.
