Light Bulbs are required for the Expedition project in Arc Raiders, and they’re also likely to be useful for helping you complete other projects throughout the game’s lifespan. As such, you’ll want to know where to find these elusive little bulbs. Don’t worry, though, as everything you need to know is below.
Where to find Light Bulbs in Arc Raiders
Light Bulbs spawn in a lot of the same areas as other popular items, such as Motors and Industrial Batteries, meaning you can combine searching for all of those items together when needed.
The best spots to find Light Bulbs are Electrical, Industrial, or Technological POIs, but it’s worth noting that you can also discover them in residential areas (apartments and homes) and when breaching cars and buses.
Here are a few spots that seem to have a good chance of spawning Light Bulbs on each of the four main launch maps.
Dam Battlegrounds
Check the Electrical Substation and Power Generator Complex POIs, as well as the cars and buses littered around the map. Better yet, check the next section below for a guaranteed Light Bulb spawn on this map.
Buried City
Dig around the Space Travel building (especially in the lockers downstairs), and be sure to pop the hoods of every car in the Parking Garage for Light Bulbs.
Spaceport
Most of the major POIs on this map have a decent chance of having Light Bulbs, such as Vehicle Maintenance, Container Storage, and Arrival Building. Don’t forget to check all the car hoods!
Blue Gate
Head down into the tunnels beneath Blue Gate (accessed primarily via the Headhouse or Checkpoint POIs), then check every car you can find there for Light Bulbs. You may also round up one of these items in other containers in this area, too.
Guaranteed Light Bulb spawn
While you’re certain to come across Light Bulbs eventually when searching the areas above, there’s at least one spot in the game with a guaranteed spawn of this item every time you visit.
To find a guaranteed Light Bulb spawn, head to the Dam Battlegrounds map and make your way to the Electrical Substation POI in the southern region. Just below the text on the map is a lone white car with a hood that can be breached.
You’ll always get a Light Bulb when you breach this car hood and search inside. While it’s only one Light Bulb, it may still be the fastest way to get this item when the RNG gods aren’t working in your favor.
Just be aware that other players are likely to know about this spot, too, so don’t be surprised if it’s occasionally already been looted. You can always head off to check other places on the map, as Dam Battlegrounds is filled with plenty of cars and Electrical locations. With enough time and effort, you’ll have all the Light Bulbs you need.
