Rusted Tools, a Rare item, can be found mainly in Mechanical and Industrial zones. Fortunately, every map has at least one of those, although some maps do offer more scavenging opportunities. Take a look at the maps below to find these zones.

If you want to avoid encountering ARCs and hostile raiders, you can focus on scavenging non-colored looting areas, such as the Primary Facility in Dam Battlegrounds, the Parking Garage in Buried City, or the Fuel Control and Shipping Warehouse in Spaceport.

What are Rusted Tools used for in Arc Raiders?

Each Rusted Tools unit will net you 1,000 coins if you choose to sell them. They can also be recycled into metal parts if you are in need of them. However, Rusted Tools are more importantly used for your very first Gunsmith upgrade, which will require the following items:

5x Mechanical Components: found in Mechanical areas or dropped by Bastions, Bombardiers, Leapers, and Shredders. Craftable:
