Fancy some extra cash for surviving the almost fatal lightning strikes that pop up from time to time in your favorite Arc Raiders maps? Then some Fossilized Lightning might do the trick. Of course, don’t expect to encounter this out in the open; they are a particularly rare find to come across.

Get ready to risk your integrity and inevitably damage your shield that is already hanging by a thread. Here is where to find Fossilized Lighting in Arc Raiders.

Finding Fossilized Lightning in Arc Raiders

As the name might suggest, Fossilized Lightning, an Epic nature pick up, is only available on a map with the Electromagnetic Storm condition active. You can always check when map conditions start on the Arc Raiders official page.

Once you arrive at your electric destination, don’t go and start scavenging every container around. Fossilized Lightning is a unique item in the sense that it only has a chance to appear once lightning strikes the ground. It is not a guaranteed drop, of course, so you might spend a decent chunk of your time waiting for the item to appear.

So, be sure to find a good spot, preferably a secure place next to an open area, to wait around for the lucky strike to hit.

Arc Raiders: Fossilized Lightning Uses

As noted above, Fossilized Lightning is good for a quick buck, although they are quite rare on their own. Selling one of these will net you 4,000 coins. Alternatively, you can also recycle them to get three pieces of Explosive Compound, which will help you craft powerful explosives at your Explosives Station.

Fossilized Lightning is sometimes used for Nomadic Trader purchases. Given their rarity, you might want to hold onto these if you don’t see something you want to buy from Ermal right away, as he may have another item you want later that could also require Fossilized Lightning to buy.
