2017 is about to end, however Nintendo is still going strong with the release of the Switch. The flop that is the Wii U several years ago became Nintendo’s wake up call on the importance of innovation in hardware and the Switch definitely did not disappoint. Bundle that up with successful games such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, and Super Mario Odyssey, and it's no wonder Nintendo is having an awesome year!

In a few days, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, a classic and beloved RPG, will be released on the Switch and it will definitely continue the success of Nintendo as 2017 draws to a close.

Excitingly Xenoblade Chronicles 2 to is set to retain the characteristics of its predecessor. Although it will have an all-new story set in the world of Alrest where society exists on the back of gigantic creatures known as Titans.

A lot of thought has been put behind the story development of the latest entry into the franchise. Yuichiro Takeda, the screenwriter for the game explained how the team worked hard into the creation of the game. 

"I think that the story of this game will be the ultimate experience for fans of Director Takahashi. But that’s not to say that I was cutting corners on my end! While writing the screenplay, I was able to dive into the world of Alrest thanks to Saito Masatsugu, who kept designing more and more interesting characters.”

As for now, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is yet to prove itself. However, looking at the gameplay video, it looks like the game has an awesome story and gameplay. If it becomes a huge success as predicted by many, Nintendo will definitely close 2017 with a bang. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be available for the Switch on December 1 for $60.
