Starting today all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers are going to have a new benefit added to their memberships, Free DLC add-ons! The new service is called Perks and it will automatically begin today with 4 supported games. The test games are Phantasy Star Online 2 (yay), World of Tanks: Mercenaries, Sea of Thieves, and Smite. The breakdown of free items you will receive per game is outlined below.
Phantasy Star Online 2: A special content bundle, which includes unique emotes, in-game cosmetics including an Xbox jacket, a gold ticket Mission Pass and in-game currency with a Meseta Crystal. Available to members in the US and Canada only.
World of Tanks: Mercenaries: Three free powerful tanks and additional in-game items.
Sea of Thieves: Ori-inspired Ancestral Sails, Figurehead, Hull, and Flag to adorn your ship.
Smite: A bundle that unlocks five Gods, special character skins and voice packs.
Now obviously this initial roll-out is pretty small but as the service continues it is likely to see expansion just like the Game Pass library. And hey, it is free stuff for subscribing to something you already use so what is there really to complain about? Xbox Game Pass Ultimate costs $15 a month and gives users access to Xbox Live Gold, Games Pass for console, and Games Pass for PC letting you have access to over 200 games no matter where you play.
