The sing-along edition of KPOP DEMON HUNTERS has left theaters without hope of coming back any time soon — but now you can relive the magic of the event by watching KPOP DEMON HUNTERS Sing-Along at home on Netflix.
The lyrical version of the hottest Netflix animated movie of the summer hit its home streaming service on Monday after it grossed $18 million at the box office over the course of its short theatrical run last weekend, according to Box Office Mojo. The movie also saw sold-out screenings at 1,300 movie theaters across North America, per The Hollywood Reporter.
I managed to catch the sing-along version of KPOP DEMON HUNTERS at my local theater Saturday night, and because it was such a limited theatrical run, I thought I would never see it in theaters again, let alone on Netflix. That is, until Ken Jeong (voice of HUNTR/X’s lovable manager, Bobby) shared a post on Instagram happily announcing the film’s addition to the streamer.
“You made Bobby so proud belting along to KPop Demon Hunters this weekend in theaters!” Jeong wrote. “Now you can hit all the notes from home with the sing along version of the film on Netflix.”
Now you, too, have an opportunity to host a KPOP DEMON HUNTERS sing-along night with your friends and family whenever the mood strikes. Plus, if you have a young child who wants a KPOP DEMON HUNTERS-themed birthday party, that would be a perfect opportunity to open up Netflix and play the sing-along so they can belt out “Golden” and “How It’s Done” with their friends.
