The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller will now be compatible with PC via Bluetooth capability. While the game works like a charm for those of you who use emulation software, there are some downsides. While the controller currently works natively with most games that support direct input and has the same layout as the Xbox One controller, YouTuber DreWoof said he could not play games like The Witcher 3 unless he downloaded direct input software to force compatibility with the controller. While I'm sure there will be eventual support the controller on Steam, it's not a plug and play deal at the moment so you'll have to be a big fan of the controller if you want to make it work.
Another downside is that plugging in the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller to your USB-C will render it useless. For some reason, the controller only works via Bluetooth. I still haven't decided whether or not I'll ever be purchasing the $70 beast controller, as I loved my Wii-U pro controller and its obscenely long battery life, but I'm not sure the price is right this time around.
