You Get Older Every Time You Die in CHRONOS: BEFORE THE ASHES

Gettin’ Old Through Trial and Error

Gunfire Games has released a rather unique little gem with Chronos: Before the Ashes. Coming fresh off their recent success with Remnant: From the Ashes, fans will definitely feel right at home with visuals, sounds, and a general atmosphere from Remnant. Originally based on a VR only title, Chronos has been retrofitted to work on most consoles and PC, which we have started our playthrough on. It’s definitely a slow burn but for those looking for something unique and different in a good way, Chronos is definitely worth a peek.

While you could draw comparisons from several games, Chronos is definitely a unique mix of action, adventure, RPG, and even a bit of puzzle solving. One of the most unique features of the game is that is you age one year every time you die. So? Well, you start as a young, spry, and fit 18 year old but after too many mistakes, you are having to fight your way through enemies are an aging senior! Definitely a unique touch on already mysterious premise.

Chronos is available now on most platforms. The PC version we’ve spent some quality time with not only looks great but runs even better on minimal hardware.
