Some awesome news for all you OG Youtube watchers out there, Yogscast Games just released indie developer Triple.B.Titles’ deckbuilding/poker fantasy rogue-lite Aces & Adventures. For anyone not in the know, The Yogscast is a group/corporation of Youtubers that have been around since the earliest days of Youtube. In fact, the Yogscast was arguably the first channel to popularize Minecraft on Youtube. Today the Yogscast is very much the equivalent of Rooster Teeth in America for comparison. The Yogscast launched Yogascast Games a few years back and helps indie developers make some awesome games, and Aces & Adventures looks like it will definitely be one.
Personally, I’ve been a fan of the Yogscast for… holy crap, over a decade now, and the newest entry from Yogscast Games looks very promising. Aces & Adventures is a fantasy RPG that mixes poker-themed combat with strategic deckbuilding, leveraging players’ familiarity with playing cards to offer gameplay that’s entertaining and easy to learn. Players will adventure as one of 5 different characters across 13 story-driven campaigns and limitless procedurally created adventures, all on a magical tabletop in a mysterious grove. Carefully craft your deck, unlock powerful new traits, and use tactical poker-powered attacks to defeat enemies and mythical bosses in a fully-narrated fantasy adventure, or jump into the rogue-lite procedural mode where the adventure is never the same.
