Begging the question ‘are you brave enough to unleash the darkness within?’ with their dark lore filled action platformer are the indie developers Newcore Games. Their upcoming game The Devil Within: Satgat will have players journey through the dark and twisted levels of a ruined world in order to uncover secrets and vanquish evil spirits.
Play as Rip Kim, a powerful warrior who’s the last of his kind. Fight your way through a once-peaceful world that has been overrun with evil spirits, destroying much of the environment. Travel through the world striking down enemies one by one, gaining new abilities along the way, until evil has been vanquished and the secrets of this land have been uncovered!
Players will traverse a deep, interconnected map. From decaying urban sewers to frigid mountains and dense forests, every area is an opportunity to uncover secrets, get upgrades, and defeat bosses. Learn amazing skills and use special weapons obtained from evil spirits.
The Devil Within: Satgat is said to provide a story that gets more ominous the further the player progresses. The initial trailer does show off some interesting areas and enemies, but we will have to wait until next year when the game releases on PC via Steam to find out how deep this sinister title gets.
