APEX LEGENDS Hits 2.5 Million Players In 24 Hours

After an already impressive milestone of 1 million unique players in under 8 hours, Apex Legends continues its sky rocketing ascent. In just 24 hour Apex Legends has managed to hit 2.5 million unique players with a concurrent peak of around 600,000 players. EA CEO Andrew Wilson shared the news on the latest company earnings call.

In the first 24 hours we had over 2.5 million unique users trending past towards 3 million unique users and nearly 600,000 peak and current in the middle of a Tuesday. It’s very early, but the response to the game has been very, very strong. We’ve been the number one views game on Twitch since launch and player sentiment seems to be very, very high right now.

It really is great to see a new game come out and manage to do so well in the battle royale space. The genre has been dominated by Fortnite for over a year with all other contenders falling by the wayside. Hopefully now we can finally see some real competition in the genre that has been sadly lacking!
