In what some might consider a very appropriately named quest, A Dead End has us return, again, to the Blue Gate. That said, you’ll need to do some underground exploration and mild puzzle solving this time around, so you might find yourself scrambling around without knowing where to go exactly.

Before heading out to the Blue Gate, be sure to equip an augment with a safe pocket. You will need it as you will have to extract with a quest item. The area we’re traveling to, the Security Wing, is filled with ARCs, and other raiders might not be too happy about your presence.

Find MANTIKOR’s underground facilities

With that being said, MANTIKOR’s underground facilities are accessed through several spots on the map, in the area between Checkpoint, Reinforced Reception, and Warehouse Complex. The one closest to the Cliffside Airshaft, as it will be the nearest to the Security Wing. You’ll be able to see the “Entrance” icons on the map as you approach them.

Find a way into the locked room in the Security Wing

In the south corner of the Security Wing, you’ll see a large door, locked, and a battery console right next to it. You’ll have to find three carryable batteries from another console in the Security Wing and install them to open the door.

Their location is randomized, and if you’re alone, you’ll have to make the trip, defenseless, thrice. Take that into account and perhaps bring a friend who’ll provide covering fire in case ARCs and raiders are adamant on your demise.

Search the locked room for any records of Project Heartwood and find the Dusty Film Reel

Once all batteries are installed, go through the door and interact with the machine to the right of the giant screen. A recording will play, and you will be tasked with finding the Dusty Film Reel. You’ll find it in a container to the left of the giant screen.
