How to complete the To the Skies quest in Arc Raiders
While the first steps of To the Skies seem simple enough, the truth is that you will probably spend a decent chunk of your time farming for materials. Therefore, I’ll show you which ones to look for before the time comes to actually put them to use.
ARC Performance Steel: you can scavenge this Rare item from Bastions, Bombardiers, Hornets, Leapers, Matriarchs, Queens, Surveyors, and Turbines. You can also find them by looting Baron Husks.
ARC Pop Trigger: find them by looting downed Pops. Also obtainable through Couriers.
ARC Synthetic Resin: this Rare item is found by looting downed Hornets, Fireflies, Matriarchs, Queens, Sentinels, Shredders, Snitches, Spotters, Turbines, Turrets, and Wasps. You can also find it in Baron Husks and Probes.
ARC Thermo Lining: another Rare item obtainable by looting Comets, Fireballs, Matriarchs, Pops, Queens, Sentinels, Snitches, Ticks, Turbines, Turrets, and Wasps. Similarly, you can find this item by scavenging Baron Husks.
Scan any Crashed ARC Probe and any ARC Courier
These first two steps are simple enough. Probes and Couriers are found almost everywhere on the map, but they are paradoxically elusive. Search for black smoke while traversing the surface and look at your map. Once you are close to either ARC, an icon will pop up.
Search for the Gondola Prototype
Once you scan both ARCs, you will need to locate the Gondola Prototype. Notice that you only need to find it once at either of the provided locations. In my case, I found it in Riven Tides, but here are the zones referenced in the objectives tab.
Red Lakes (Dam Battlegrounds)
Farmlands (The Blue Gate)
East Plains (Spaceport)
Dried Riverbed (Riven Tides)
Find the Gondola Prototype at the southernmost part of the Dried Riverbed, under a small bridge.
Install ARC items
Finally, once you find the Gondola Prototype, put the aforementioned ARC items to good use and interact with the machine. Once you install all four, activate the Gondola to a less-than-stellar outcome, and you will complete the To the Skies quest.
