Releasing their DragonBall Z anime-themed asymmetrical multiplayer title DragonBall: The Breakers is Bandai Namco. This launch comes with a trailer showing off all three of the Raider’s that players can play as, which include Frieza, Cell, and Buu. The other players in the game will assume the role of a Survivor, in which they will have a number of different customized setups to work with.
Describing the game for those interested but not fully clear on the title, the game’s producer Ryosuke Hara stated, “DragonBall: The Breakers emphasizes intense battles where a group of players try to survive or take out a powerful Raider using wits, gadgets, and power-ups. With the ability to also select characters not typically found in DragonBall games via the Survivor Skin system, players can look forward to a unique take on asymmetrical multiplayer gameplay that remains wholly authentic to the aesthetics and style of DragonBall.”
DragonBall: The Breakers is available now for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4 - compatible with PlayStation 5, Xbox One - compatible with Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. It is available in Standard, Special, and Limited Editions, each holding their own bonuses for consideration.
The game currently does not offer crossplay, but they stated that it will receive continuous support after release with seasonal new content and updates to delight fans. Not to mention, it also has a free seasonal Dragon Tier pass that rewards players with free content as they play, which includes the Farmer survivor skin as this season’s Tier 50 reward.
