Some of them are even beginning to act human, and you’ll have to make brutal choices that test your morals and humanity. Although this isn’t a visual novel, Detroit: Become Human gives you a wild narrative with hundreds of choices that can affect everything.
Slay the Princess
Play as the monster who is told to slay the princess in the game called exactly that. Slay the Princess is a psychological horror visual novel with dozens of endings and unique narratives with fully voice-acted lines and hand-drawn art.
It’s a lot deeper than just having to slay the princess, and you’ll soon realize why you’re told it’ll be the end of the world if you don’t kill her. AI: The Somnium Files
Another great visual novel with a branching narrative is AI: The Somnium Files, a mystery game where you play as a detective hunting a serial killer. Detective Kaname Date must investigate both crime scenes and dreams to discover clues that could lead him to the truth.
Five branches lead to five different endings in this game. Not only that, but it has a sequel, giving you an abundance of content in this game’s universe. Seeing as it’s from the creators of the popular Danganronpa series, you know you’re in for a wild ride.
