In less than six months, Capcom is releasing the highly anticipated remake of Resident Evil 2 for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. After releasing details on the Collector’s Edition for the US a few weeks ago, the studio now revealed a Japanese Z Version Premium Edition of the game, which takes the label premium seriously as the special edition will cost players a whopping $900.
Among the usual trinkets included in the Z Version Premium Edition, Capcom also includes a Lexington vintage typewriter that will feature Bluetooth connectivity and will include a charger cable. It has been reported that the typewriter will hold battery life up to seven days and will be compatible on Windows and Mac PCs, and with iOS and Android devices.
Unfortunately, the keyboard will not support the PS4 and Xbox One, which is not surprising given that Bluetooth keyboards are not usually used with gaming consoles. If you’re just interested in getting the unique keyboard, Capcom revealed that it would be available as a standalone purchase for $680. Moreover, a Limited Edition is also available, which is everything on the Premium except the Bluetooth keyboard.
Players can check out Resident Evil 2’s Premium Edition in Capcom’s Japanese website, which will include the full game, a statue of Leon Kennedy, four ink ribbons, a Raccoon Police Station poster, the official art book and soundtrack CD, a DLC voucher, and a cool chest.
As it would appear, it seems that the Premium Edition will only be available in Japan. You can check out the Collector’s Edition, which will be available in the US here.
