Check Out The List Of Games Announced To Port Over To Nintendo Switch

This past week was a series of news and announcements, but let’s take a step back to look over the various titles Nintendo announced to be ported onto the Nintendo Switch during the latest Nintendo Direct. A lot of the games they recently announced coming to the handheld console are ones that many players have been waiting to see moved to more platforms. However, some are just going to be great games to have on the go! Here’s the quick list of titles:

IT TAKES TWO

The award-winning title from Hazelight Studios and EA is bringing its cooperative-based two-player adventure to the portable screen! It Takes Two has players untangle the complicated web Cody and May are trapped in thanks to a magic spell that turns them into dolls, all while encountering ridiculous challenges around every corner.

The unpredictable nature of each level will bring players through a uniquely metaphorical gameplay experience that tells a universal story of relationships, as Cody and May must work together to save their fractured marriage on the brink of divorce. Whether it’s vacuum cleaners on the loose, suave love gurus with lots of opinions, or a nightclub in desperate need of a DJ, obstacles will pop up around every corner, making for some hilariously heartfelt moments.

It Takes Two is set to come to the Nintendo Switch on November 4th and it is being ported by Turn Me Up Games. Interested players can pre-order the game on this new platform today.

KIRBY’S RETURN TO DREAM LAND DELUXE

Nintendo’s classic title featuring everybody’s favorite pink hero is coming to the Nintendo Switch! Kirby’s Return to Dream Land initially released in 2011 on the Nintendo Wii, but now the Deluxe edition of this up-to-4-player platformer is coming to the Switch.

Copy enemies’ abilities and use their power to attack with a sword, wield a whip, and float with a parasol. You can also laser blast with the new Mecha Copy Ability that makes a series debut! The extra muscle will be handy in finding missing pieces for Magolor’s ship, which crash-landed on Planet Popstar. Float and fight along with friends on the same system, where each player can control another Kirby or one of Kirby’s iconic friends like King Dedede, Meta Knight, and Bandana Waddle Dee.

Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe is set to release on February 24, 2023. Interested players can pre-order the game today.

TUNIC

One of the best indie games to launch so far in 2022, according to our own review, comes from Finji. Their adventure game, Tunic, originally released exclusively on PC via Steam and now they are bringing it to the PlayStation and Nintendo Switch consoles.

Crafted to evoke feelings of classic action-adventure games, this game stars a heroic little fox as they explore a foreign land that hides danger around every corner. Discover unique items, new combat techniques, and arcane secrets as our hero forges their way through an intriguing new world.

Tunic will release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on September 27th. Interested players can pre-order the game on Nintendo Switch today.

LIFE IS STRANGE ARCADIA BAY COLLECTION

Popular narrative-driven series Life Is Strange is bringing their two classic adventures together for the Nintendo Switch. Developers DONTNOD Entertainment and Deck Nine, along with publisher Square Enix, are releasing the Life Is Strange Arcadia Bay Collection which will bring both Life Is Strange and Before The Storm to the switch.

Players will go through an incredible journey as they follow Max Caulfield, a girl who finds out that she can rewind time, and uncover the secrets of Arcadia Bay alongside Chloe Price. Along the way, they’ll meet unforgettable characters and go through strange yet amazing moments.

Life Is Strange Arcadia Bay Collection will be available in both physical and digital forms on September 27th for the Nintendo Switch. Interested players can pre-order the game today.

TALES OF SYMPHONIA REMASTERED

Bandai Namco is bringing one of the classic titles from their Tales series back and this time improved with upgraded visuals. Tales of Symphonia was originally released in 2003 on the Nintendo Gamecube and soon it will be available on current consoles.

Set in the world of Sylvarant, a dying land in dire need of a constant source of mana, where legend dictates that a Chosen One will appear to regenerate and restore the world. Players will follow the adventures of Lloyd Irving and his friends as they embark on a worldwide adventure filled with unforgettable characters and an emotionally charged storyline that still resonates with fans.

Tales of Symphonia Remastered is set to release in Early 2023 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Interested players can pre-order the game today.

SIFU

The popular martial arts based beat ‘em up title from Sloclap and Microids is finally kicking its way onto the Nintendo Switch console. SIFU brings its challenging combat-heavy, kung-fu-packed brawler to the Switch along with The Redemption Edition - a physical collector’s edition we featured on one of our ‘Something Cool’ series.

Players in the shoes of a Pak Mei Kung-Fu student who has spent their life training for a day of reckoning after the brutal murder of their entire family by a mysterious assassination squad. With just one day and countless enemies in their way, players must beat insurmountable odds and defeat members of the powerful organization to claim revenge.

However, in such a quest for vengeance, time is the price paid. With a magical talisman to revive players after death, defeat doesn’t spell the end. Though the student always gets back, the cost of magic is dear, however, and they will age significantly every time they come back to life.

SIFU is set to come to the Nintendo Switch on November 8th. Interested players can pre-order the game in both physical and digital forms today.

FATAL FRAME: MASK OF THE LUNAR ECLIPSE

Horror series continuation title, Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, from Koei Tecmo is making its way up to a current-gen console. Originally released in 2008, this photograph-the-paranormal-based horror game continued one of the most popular horror series from the early gaming days.

The forbidden story begins… Search through dim residences and abandoned hospitals, relying on moonlight and the faint light from a flashlight. From past newspaper articles and memos, the player unravels the lost memories of the main character and approaches the truth.

Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is set to release on the Nintendo Switch in early 2023.

RESIDENT EVIL VILLAGE and More

Capcom welcomes the Nintendo Switch player base to the family as they bring their latest titles to the console. Releasing as cloud versions, they are bringing Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil Biohazard, Resident Evil 2 Remake, and Resident Evil 3 Remake.

The main title of this announcement is Resident Evil Village which is launching on October 28th and will be joined shortly after by The Winters’ Expansion on December 2nd. To prepare players, there is a Resident Evil Village Cloud Edition demo on the Nintendo Switch. This demo allows players to test out their internet connections with the experience for a limited time. After trying the demo, players can pre-order or purchase the full game through the same app.

Cloud versions of Resident Evil 2, 3, and Biohazard are also in the works now and they are aiming for a 2022 release for all of these games as well.
