If you’re looking to boost your survivability in Crisol: Theater of Idols, you’ll want to track down every Holy Blood vial you can. The Mermaid District hides three of them — but each one is locked away inside a password-protected safe. Here’s exactly how to find and unlock all three.
What are Holy Blood vials?
Holy Blood vials are permanent health upgrades. Each one increases your maximum health bar, giving you more room for error against the horrors lurking in the district. They’re absolutely worth grabbing before moving deeper into the game.
How many Holy Blood vials are in the Mermaid District?
There are three Holy Blood vials in the Mermaid District.
Each one is hidden inside a locked safe, meaning you’ll need to solve puzzles or find clues to access them.
Holy Blood vial location #1 — La Pearla Oculta
You’ll find the first vial inside La Perla Oculta while working through the second Mermaid’s puzzle. Once you enter La Perla Oculta, you’ll see a reception desk. To the immediate right of that desk is a four-character combination safe. Head toward the back of the building and turn right. Near where the D peep hole is located, you’ll find a small crawlspace. Crawl through it.
Inside, you’ll find:
A memory
A note sitting on the vanity
Pick up the note. It reveals the password format: AFBE
The letters correspond to rooms you can view through peep holes. Inside each room, look for a paper displaying a symbol.
Here’s what you’re looking for:
Room A: Anchor
Room B: Squid
Room E: Anchor
Room F: Coral
Match the symbols in that order to determine the correct safe input. Return to the safe near the reception desk and input the symbol sequence. Inside, you’ll find your first Holy Blood vial.
Holy Blood vial location #2 — Al Cuerno Albino
Even though you visit Al Cuerno Albino earlier in the chapter, you cannot access this vial until after completing the second Mermaid puzzle and obtaining the T-Bar tool. Head toward Hespina’s hideout and exit through the door on the right. Make your way back to the barn area. This time go past the original entrance, round the corner and locate the lift.
Send the lift upward then climb the ladder to your left. Cross over using the raised lift platform and climb through the open window.
Inside the office, you’ll find another safe. This one is much simpler. Search the desk, find the note labeled with a “factory password” and input the listed code into the safe… that’s it! You’ll receive your second Holy Blood vial.
Holy Blood vial location #3 — Triton Barbershop
The third vial is found near the end of Chapter One. You’ll eventually reach a gate that must be cranked open. Right beside that crank is a building labeled “Triton Barbershop” head inside. You’ll find another safe in this building, but instead of a note you’ll need to identify the puzzle. There are four barber stations, each with a sink and a mirror. Now you’ll need to approach each sink and interact with it to turn on the hot water. When the steam rises, the mirrors fog up — revealing a symbol drawn into each mirror. Repeat this at all four stations to uncover the full symbol sequence. Enter the revealed symbol order into the safe inside the shop.
Inside, you’ll find the third and final Holy Blood vial for the Mermaid District.
The Mermaid District hides some of the most important early-game upgrades in Crisol: Theater of Idols, and grabbing all three Holy Blood vials before progressing will make the brutal encounters ahead far more manageable.
