A game that hasn’t even launched yet, but has a story and design so enthralling that many are hyped for its release already has a whole Netflix series planned for it. CD PROJEKT RED’s upcoming game Cyberpunk 2077 is sure to give us an action-packed adventure, but we have another storyline to look forward to and this time it will be in the form of a show. Simply titled “Cyberpunk Edgerunners,” we will see the futuristic and dangerous world from a new perspective.
While I am one to hesitate when I hear announcements like this, there is no doubt that this is going to be a reality. Not only does this developer already have one of their other popular game series, The Witcher, on Netflix, but there is also an announcement trailer on their official YouTube channel. Take a look at the announcement for yourself and see what the Japan Based Producer for Cyberpunk Edgerunners, Saya Elder, has to say about this upcoming series yourself.
Personally, I have to say that this announcement could easily be a good one. Given the chance that the storyline for the game might not catch everybody’s interest, having a second storyline to follow will definitely help catch more people’s interest than just a game could have. Interesting choice to get this started before the game was even released, but more than likely a good choice at that.
