There are a lot of interesting ways to push the lore of an upcoming narrative-driven game and it looks like developers Supermassive Games and publisher 2K Games have created one for The Quarry. With the game being a horror, choice-based tale for players, there are sure to be plenty of lore details surrounding it. So, to get it set up they have shown off the full Prologue gameplay and are releasing an episodic podcast.
This podcast is called Bizarre Yet Bonafide and it will be a six-episode series. In this podcast series, "professional" paranormal investigators Grace (voiced by Emily Axford) and Anton (voiced by Brian K. Murphy) reveal what the authorities don’t want you to know about the truly bizarre goings-on in North Kill, NY. The question is, are the reports they cover truly “Bonafide?”
To kick it off, they have released Episode 1 - The Woman in the Woods and Episode 2 - The Boy Who Cried Bigfoot. The future episodes don’t have a release date, but they are going to be titled:
Episode 3 - Missing, Presumed Dead
Episode 4 - Hangry for Revenge
Episode 5 - No Hoax Without Fire
Episode 6 - The Hag of Hackett's Quarry
I’ll be placing the YouTube videos for Episode 1 up top and Episode 2 below, but if you want to listen to this podcast in true podcast fashion, it will also be available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Audible Amazon Music, and The Quarry website.
The Quarry is set to release on June 10th for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Interested players can pre-order the game name in either digital or physical edition. You can also find out more from our coverage of the game’s initial announcement.
