Flying Wild Hog is preparing us for the onslaught of bloodthirsty vampires coming in just a few short weeks with the release of Evil West. The devs are bringing their well-known high-octane action to a third-person narrative-driven action-adventure game about hunting the dead. Check out the explosive gameplay overview trailer.
Players take control of a young vampire slayer, Jesse Rentier. He is the Star agent of the Rentier Institue, a secret monster-hunting organization led by his father and many generations of Rentier before him. Unfortunately, things get grim quickly when the institute is wiped out completely by a deadly vampiric conspiracy. Jesse will not only need to unravel the dark conspiracy, but also battle ferocious monsters while rebuilding the organization from the ground up. Can Jesse become the fearless leader the institute needs?
Evil West will take players across the vast familiarity of the Wild West, encountering canyons, mines, and run-down towns. Jesse will be armed with a multitude of weapons at his disposal, including the lightning-fueled Rentier Gauntlet, old-fashioned firearms, and advanced technology. Skill trees are available to further expand and customize to each player's preference. A mixture of melee and ranged attacks will be key to victory in this undead world.
Evil West is looking to deliver a gorgeous palette of particle effects, flames, and dark scenery. It seems very impressive so far and looks to be a good time. We will be sure to find out more information as it comes in when Evil West launches on November 22nd for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
