Hardcore action RPG fans have a new game to look forward to now that Round8 Studio and NEOWIZ have revealed the gameplay for their upcoming title Lies of P. While the story and plot itself is one that was initially enough to bring curiosity towards the game, this initial gameplay reveal is nothing short of enticing! Bringing out a beautifully dark world and filling it with Souls-like action is a classic combo, but add in the story details and they have a game to keep track of.
This fantastically baroque Action RPG is inspired by the classic Italian novel Pinocchio from Carlo Collodi. It takes place in the ruined, but once beautiful city of Krat where hideous and twisted automatons rule the landscape. It’s up to P to find Mr. Geppetto and reverse the calamity that has befallen Krat. As the puppet mechanoid Pinocchio, you will wind your way through the streets, crafting weapons from the materials you find in the world, and interacting with the remaining few who manage to survive in this pre-industrial hellscape. The more you lie, the more human you become, with all the advantages and disadvantages that it entails. Profound narrative choices and deeply customizable character progression will play a role in this game.
More details about the story and features of Lies of P will be revealed later this month. For now, we know that it is planned to come to PC via Steam and consoles, but we don’t know when. Considering how little we knew about this game when it was first announced, this gameplay reveal was beyond expectations!
