Looking to build a game that brings competitive and strategic elements from the popular online multiplayer titles out there is Odyssey Interactive, an independent game development studio founded by former Riot Games leads on League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics. Their initial game has been known simply as ‘Project P’ for some time, but they have officially dropped the title and a bunch of details surrounding the game!
Introducing, Omega Strikers! This title features a wild and ever-growing roster of diverse and vibrant characters known as Strikers. Launching with ten Strikers at launch, each character possesses their own unique personality and set of abilities that they can use to smash opponents off the arena, control the core, and score goals. Thanks to the experience behind the team developing this game, it is an innovative blend of the best parts of modern competitive multiplayer games, weaving in goal-focused objectives, physical fun and knockouts, and character depth and mastery, into thrillingly fast-paced matches.
Omega Strikers will be a free-to-play cross-platform 3v3 knockout striker for the next generation of gamers. Matches play by simple rules, where the first team to score 5 points wins, but they must have a lead by 2 points or the game will keep going in Overtime. To achieve these matches, they pit two teams of three players against each other. Players will be able to queue solo or squad up with friends to compete against others in ranked, unranked, or custom game modes.
Omega Strikers is now available in Closed Beta for PC via Steam. They plan to launch on mobile devices later this year and console versions are in the works. Those looking to get in on the Closed Beta can snatch invites through Key Drops on Twitch or a Rainmaker campaign link - so check out the ones streaming the game!
