GUNNAR Call of Duty Ghost Edition Review

GUNNAR optiks has immersed themselves in the world of gaming for a long while. Working with Fallout, Marvel, and Call of Duty, their Ghost Edition glasses may not make you look like the stud from Task Force 141, but they will protect your eyes while gaming and make you look good too!

Aesthetics & Build Quality

With a military inspired look and sporting a dashing aviator frame, these are some strong glasses that feel premium in your hands as you play with them. They come with a polymer front and stainless steel build to give that extra fancy look.

To top it all off, they come with a very premium carrying case that has Call of Duty markings all over it, a carrying separate carrying case made of microfiber, and lastly, a cleaning cloth with the iconic Black Ops 6 logo.

Feedback

The lenses themselves take some getting used to but I did notice a difference when using them in close range with products like my iPad or my phone. While they make gaming at night time challenging particularly in already dark games like Call of Duty night maps, I did feel a difference with them on versus off.

You have to get used to the yellow hue on your eyes but this could also be my eyes catching up to years of blue light. However, they do help in making your gaming and screen time feel better after a certain time. It took me a week of remembering to wear them while gaming or using my electronics to really feel the difference but it is one I definitely felt.

Verdict

While not necessarily an essential accessory, if you do spend a lot of time looking at screens, particularly sitting a close distance to one, I would personally recommend buying these. The lenses also come in a sun-shift variant which allows you to use them in the sun as sunglasses too!

With a premium body and accessories, these glasses are definitely ones that I would consider to gamers looking to preserve their visual health with how almost every thing you look at now is essentially emitting blue light now.
