The long-awaited sequel to one of GameCube’s most beloved titles is finally here, and it’s packing a whole lot of content to dig into. Kirby Air Riders is a feature-packed follow-up that both pays respects to its previous outing while expanding on it in a host of meaningful ways to dramatically improve the moment-to-moment thrills. But if you’re interested in diving in, you may first want to know just how much value there is in Kirby’s newest racing title. Here’s how long it’ll take to beat Kirby Air Riders.
How long does it take to beat Kirby Air Riders?
It’s hard to put a finger on what “beating” Kirby Air Riders would look like, as the game is split into multiple modes that each offer their own challenges and gameplay features. That being said, to see and experience everything in the game, including completing each mode’s myriad of challenges, you’ll be looking at 30-40 hours worth of playtime.
Below is a breakdown of what to expect if you’re going for full completion of each mode, though it’s important to remember your mileage may vary based on personal skill and the difficulty modes you choose.
Air Ride Mode - This standard racing mode can take between 5-10 hours to complete in full.
City Trials Mode - This sandbox mode can take between 10-15 hours to complete in full.
Top Ride Mode - This isometric racing mode can take around 5 hours to complete in full.
Road Trip - This story-based mode can take around an hour to complete with one character, and up to 20 hours to complete with every character.
And, of course, it’s important to remember there’s tons more fun to be found in taking things online, or even playing split-screen with a friend on the couch. Multiplayer can add dozens (or even hundreds) of hours of fun for dedicated Kirby fans. So, if you’re feeling like competing, get out there and show other folks what you’ve got.
Kirby Air Riders is available now exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2.
