The largest annual award ceremony event is about to take place, but before it can take place they need to hear from you! Announced live at 9AM PT / Noon EST are the official nominations for all categories within The Game Awards 2022. Following the announcement, the polls will go live and players on all sides of the game industry can start placing their votes on which game they believe deserves which award.
Also, there are still a few seats left for those interested in attending the event live. Tickets have officially opened to the public on The Game Awards website. These seats sell out fast, so don’t wait too much longer!
As we look forward to giving recognition to the titles that have been released this past year, it is always good to remember the great titles from before as well. If you’d like to take some time to refresh your memory on the past few years, here are the winners for TGA 2021, TGA 2020, TGA 2019, and TGA 2018.
For those of you who don’t plan to attend in person but are looking forward to the event, The Game Awards will be streamed on YouTube and Twitch.
Update: They have opened voting for “The Players’ Voice” award! This is a three-tier voting system where players pick their top titles from the year. Round 1 is live now and has 30 games listed, allowing all players to vote for 10 titles they want to see move on. Round 2 goes live on December 1st and will feature the winning 10 titles and players can then vote on their handful of top picks from that selection. Following that will be the final Round 3 where players pick their best-of-the-best title from 2022. Be sure to get your votes in while you can!
