In a terrifying launch trailer revealed yesterday, Bloober Team officially announced Layers of Fear 2, which will serve as the sequel to the 2016 first-person horror game. The sequel is set to launch in 2019, and the studio is currently in partnership with Gun Media, the publisher of the Friday the 13th: The Game.
Layers of Fear 2 will take place on a desolate ship, that will take feature small, claustrophobic environments. The reveal trailer revealed several areas such as dark, cramped hallways and creepy burning coffins. The game will be narrated by Tony Todd.
“This collaboration between Gun and Bloober team is a perfect pairing,” Wes Keltner, President of Gun Media revealed in a statement. “Our collective passion for crafting memorable and terrifying experiences lines up so well, and both teams have an encyclopedic knowledge of horror. Ass in the fact that the iconic Tony Todd is lending his commanding voice to this project, and I truly think we are creating a new masterpiece here.”
Layers of Fear 2 will be released sometime in 2019, and no platforms have been confirmed so far.
