Mortal Shell 2 has a variety of unique weapons with cool movesets, but the Axatana might be one of the most compelling. This intriguing weapon comes in the form of two katanas while wielding it in light attacks but transforms into a battle axe for heavy attacks. It’s a versatile weapon worth adding to your collection, so let’s find it.
Where to find the Axatana in Mortal Shell 2
To find the Axatana in Mortal Shell 2, you’ll need to make your way to the Forgotten Tower, which is located south of Sester’s Refuge in the Mammon region.
For starters, head to the location above within Sester’s Refuge and spot a bell in the distance on the cliffside. Shoot the bell with your sidearm to create a walkway to the nearby jump gate. Use the jump gate to make your way to the Forgotten Tower.
Head inside the main structure here and pass through the slim opening leading to some stairs by the giant dead creature.
About halfway up the stairs, exit out the side of the crumbled wall to a jump gate.
Use the jump gate to leap left (avoid leaping to the right).
In this new area, find a switch next to a gate to open it, then defeat the enemy inside.
Directly ahead of you is the Axatana, which you can pick up and add to your ever-growing collection of armaments.
Make sure to equip this unusual weapon and try it out, as it’s very fun to wield and can dish out some big damage if used correctly. And while you’re in Sester’s Refuge, you’ll have a chance to get the Black Needle, too.
