Nintendo was all over the web yesterday following a report from Nikkei that said the company was planning on ceasing production of the Wii-U at the years end in preparation for Nintendo NX. Nintendo Everything is now reporting Nintendo has refuted that claim, and says they will continue to produce Wii U's through 2017.
This falls in line with Nintendo's initial announcement when they announced NX, but they could just be playing their cards close to the chest. We've heard several rumors about what exactly NX is, but have seen virtually nothing that is concrete or confirmed. All we know right now is that the Wii U is here for the forsee-U-able future.
