Ocarina of Time: How To Use Gold Skulltulas

Early on in the Ocarina of Time Remake, you’ll come across your first Gold Skulltula. Killing them grants you their token, which you can slowly collect over time without ever knowing how to use them in the first place. If you’re not sure what to do with them, here’s how to use your Gold Skulltulas in the Ocarina of Time Remake.

What to do with Gold Skulltulas in Ocarina of Time

You can collect Gold Skulltulas and give them to the Cursed Rich Family in Kakariko Village. Head inside one of the larger homes in the village, and you’ll come across a cursed family. The father will request that you collect enough Gold Skulltulas to free them from this curse.

It’ll start with 10 Gold Skulltula Tokens, then it’ll be 20, 30, 40, 50, and finally, 100. Each milestone will save one family member and give you a reward. Here are all the Gold Skulltula rewards:

  • 10: Adult’s Wallet

  • 20: Echo Gem

  • 30: Giant’s Wallet

  • 40: x20 Bombchu

  • 50: Piece of Heart

  • 100: Unlimited 200 Rupees

Where to find Gold Skulltulas

In the remake of Ocarina of Time, there are 100 Gold Skulltulas to collect. They can be found in various areas in dungeons and the overworld, and typically prefer dark, hidden spaces.

Gold Skulltulas will sometimes hide in trees, so roll into random trees, and you may find these creatures. You can also lure them out by releasing a bug you’ve caught in a bottle. Shoot them with your slingshot or swing your sword at them to kill them and drop the token.

Speaking of Kakariko Village, you should make sure to find all 7 missing Cuccos in Ocarina of Time Remake.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2.
