It used to be so rare that we would hear about a movie or show adaptation being made for the games we love and even when they would happen, they would be done so poorly. With time comes practice and with practice comes… more reasons to keep practicing, usually. However, we have started to see a more uphill incline in the quality of adaptations lately and so I am finding myself hopeful for what comes next.
While some shows are currently active and are just planning to release more episodes this year, there are some brand-new shows and movies coming in 2023 that are definitely worth being excited for. Let’s take a look at a quick list of game adaptations to look forward to seeing this year:
Welcome to Raven Brooks (Hello Neighbor Animation) - ongoing on YouTube
The Last of Us TV Series - on HBO Max, January 15, 2023

Of course, that is only the list with confirmed release windows. Here are some other adaptations that are confirmed to be in the works, but unable to give a release window just yet:

The only item on the unconfirmed list is The Cuphead Show getting a Season 4 on Netflix. It isn’t likely to happen, but one can still hold hope that it does! Which of these shows and movies are you most looking forward to watching in 2023?
