If you’re a long-time fan of the Resident Evil franchise, then you might have an idea who Elza Walker is. However, for those who are unfamiliar, Elza Walker is the scrapped protagonist of the first version of the original Resident Evil 2 alongside Leon Kennedy, that has been called Resident Evil 1.5.
As the release date of Resident Evil 2 Remake gets nearer, Capcom has released details on the game’s Deluxe Edition that will finally allow players to see Elza Walker in action, well—sort of. The Deluxe Edition will include five character skins, a special weapon, reversible box arts, and the ability to swap the game’s soundtrack with the music from the original game.
First off is Claire Redfield’s Elza Walker costume, which is based on the original version of Resident Evil 2 that didn’t make the cut. Elza is a motorcyclist student attending Raccoon University but was later replaced with Claire Redfield, to give the character a link to the first game. Moreover, Claire is also given two additional costumes such as military and noir-themed outfits.
Leon, on the other hand, will sport two additional costumes, which will also include a noir-inspired outfit, and a traditional “Arklay Sherrif” costume. The Deluxe Edition will be priced at $69.99, which is just $10 more than the Standard Version. A Collector’s Edition is also available for $199.99.
Resident Evil 2 Remake is only a few months away and will be released on January 25, 2019, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
