The Anticipated Kickstarter CHILDREN OF MORTA Is Finally Coming This September!

The pixelated beauty of Dead Mage’s Children of Morta has been a long time coming. The Kickstarter that enthralled backers and the gaming industry was roughly four years ago. The last time we covered the game was in 2017, when we were listing our most anticipated pixel art games for the upcoming year. It’s 2019 now, and we’re finally going to be able to take this treasure into our homes and explore the world of the Bergson family.

On October 15th, the game will release on Xbox One, PS4, and the Nintendo Switch. And if the game reflects what’s been released so far, then it will be a memorable adventure. The procedurally generated world will mean that the player’s experience is going to differ in each playthrough. That’s an exciting feature that will keep the game fresh, but each of those disparate experiences is anchored in a central storyline that will embed the player in the world of the Bergson family.

It promises to be a rich narrative, and we are thrilled by yet another exciting entry in the pixel art genre that has undergone a renaissance in the last decade. Children of Morta will be available on PC on September 3rd, but it won’t be too long after that when console owners can join in the fray.

Hopefully, we’ll all be able to cleanse the Corruption that is ravaging the land!
