The open-world survival MMO that has been shrouded in mystery for quite some time now, has finally received a release date via an NVIDIA RTX ON Gameplay Reveal. The Day Before is scheduled to launch on March 1, 2023 enhanced with ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS 3 support. Take a look at the quick RTX ON gameplay trailer above.
The Day Before will throw players into a post-pandemic America overrun by flesh-hungry infected and survivors killing each other for food, weapons, and cars. Players will have to search abandoned vehicles, houses, and skyscrapers as they scavenge for resources. They will also be able to take part in a survivor colony to sell loot and communicate safely with other players.
FNTASTIC has been very tight-lipped on how the game will actually play, adding more intrigue to the game's shadow release. Unfortunately, although the game looks graphically stunning, it is hard to measure how fun the game will be just based on the small snippets we have seen in gameplay videos. Clearly, there will be an emphasis on survival and resource scarcity aspects but it will be interesting to see what The Day Before decides to bring new to this genre. As we all know, Day Z, Rust, and H1Z1 Just Survive have all attempted this genre but struggled to keep players interested. Let's hope The Day Before offers some truly remarkable gameplay mechanics and a captivating world.
The Day Before launches on March 1 for PC via Steam with a planned release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S to be revealed at a later date.
