As one of the best-selling indie game series out there, many fans are excitedly waiting for the continuation of the Trine series. Even if you aren’t familiar with the series yourself, this upcoming title looks to be a lot of fun to play either solo or with friends. In Frozenbyte teamed up with Modus Games to bring out the next chapter of the series, titled Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince, players can look forward to a new adventure with three iconic heroes as they set off on a quest through fantastical fairy tale landscapes to save the world from the Nightmare Prince’s shadows.
While the developers are bringing the series back to the 2.5D side-scrolling game style, our heroes Amadeus the Wizard, Pontius the Knight, and Zoya the Thief are joined together once again. With the mixture of new combat options, new skills, and the option to play cooperatively with friends both locally and online, players will have to overcome a variety of enemies and puzzles on their quest. These heroes must stay focused on their mission to retrieve the troubled young Prince Selius, who suffers from dark dreams and nightmares that are able to slip into reality and wreak havoc on the waking world due to his magical powers.
