Upon reaching Wolfsbane Field in Valor Mortis after defeating the Sphinx boss, you’ll most likely come across an abandoned home. Inside is a letter you can interact with that starts The Lost Boy quest. Unfortunately, the game won’t give you many more hints as to where to find clues of the missing boy, but we’re here to help! Here’s how you can finish The Lost Boy quest in Valor Mortis.
The Lost Boy side quest guide in Valor Mortis
To complete The Lost Boy quest in Valor Mortis, exit the house where you initiated the quest and head down the dirt path to the right. Cross the small bridge and take down the enemies in your way. We recommend you start by shooting the barrel on the Risen Sauper’s back, which will explode and deal a significant amount of damage to him.
After you’ve dealt with them, leap across the next bridge gap, and head through the path behind the stacked boxes. Watch out for one enemy lingering right behind the boxes. The toughest one is the Volunteer with the flamethrower, so take your time defeating this one to proceed.
At the end of this path is the quest area to the right, but before you go into the cave, shoot the weak point on the tree on your left. This will create a shortcut back to the lantern in case you die facing what’s next.
Once you’re inside the cave, grapple to the next platform and take down the flaming enemy in your way. You might want to equip Cleansing Vial since you’ll likely become ignited in flames, which slowly chips away at your health. Watch out for the temporary enemies this guy spawns, as they will try to throw bombs at you.
Eventually, you’ll defeat this mini-boss and can continue on the path ahead. Climb up the stone ramp, which will lead you to the next cavern. In here is a chest with Pure Blade Material, but the quest item is just behind it.
Leap across the gap to collect the Cleansing Vial, then turn around and look down. On the lower rock is a key with the body of the missing boy. Collect the Cellar Key, and then make your way back to the house.
Once you’re inside the house, use the key on the locked Cellar Door, then head down the stairs. Read the paper sitting on the desk, and you’ll complete the quest.
Now that you’ve completed The Lost Boy quest in Valor Mortis, you may be itching to know how long it’ll take you to beat a similar game like Gears of War: E-Day.
Valor Mortis is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
