Altus, the developer behind Persona 5 is releasing new information about the upcoming Persona 5 The Animation. The announcement will be via a live stream that will begin on December 24 at 8PM Japan Time. So for those in the United States, the live stream will be 6AM Eastern Time. The stream will be shown on Abema TV for Japan, and YouTube Live for the rest of the world. It might be a bit early, however, if you want to know all the details on Atlus’ new project first, then it might be worth a look.
Fans of the game will be in for a treat as Persona 5 The Animation will feature backstories of some of the characters in the game, plus new stories that will definitely make the main plot of the game more interesting. I wonder how relevant these new plot lines will be and how they’ll affect the game’s plot overall. The reveal will also feature the voices of Jun Fukuyama (voice of protagonist), Aoi Yuuki (Futaba Sakura), and Souichirou Hoshi (Goro Akechi).
The new anime will be produced by Atlus in partnership with A-1 Pictures and plans to air the series in 2018. Check out the teaser below:
There are still no plans to release Persona 5 The Animation to the West as of now so we have to wait for the live stream reveal for confirmation. In case you haven’t seen this year’s Game Awards, Persona 5 has won RPG of the year. You can check out the full list of winners here.
Will you watch Persona 5 The Animation if it is released in the West?
