To level up your Gunsmith station in Arc Raiders, you will need a variety of items. Among these, the Sentinel Firing Cores will give you the hardest time, as they are not craftable, and the ARC enemy that holds them will probably snipe you into oblivion from a mile away.

Where to find Sentinels in Arc Raiders
As this item’s name illustrates, Sentinels are the ARC enemies that grant Sentinel Firing Cores. These enemies are effectively snipers, placed in strategic locations to ensure that you will die miserably if you’re caught out of position. Sentinels are tough enemies that can be found on every map, but you’ll find the most success by facing them on Dam Battlegrounds.
One of these Sentiels can be found outside the Research & Administration building. Specifically, it will be positioned at the top of the stairs leading to the southern entrance. If the Sentiel spawns here, you can either face it from the inside of the building or from a distance, using guns like the Renegade, Anvil, Ferro, or Osprey to shoot the yellow canister, its weak spot.
If the Sentinel spawns in the area between the Pipeline Tower and The Breach, then you’re in luck. While it surveys the Hydroponic Dome Complex, you can approach it from the north, surprising it. Use explosives and heavy weaponry while the ARC isn’t facing you to kill it while also ensuring your survival.
At such a close distance, the Sentinel will move slowly, so you can also choose to save bullets and use melee attacks to destroy it piece by piece. Once defeated, scavenge it to pick up the Sentinel Firng Cores you’ll need.
If you’re not feeling fond of facing the Sentinels, you can also breach Arc Couriers scattered across all maps. While rare, Sentinel Firing Cores can be found inside, so be on the lookout for black smoke while running across the planet’s surface.
Pick up four of these to upgrade your Gunsmith to level 3. This will come in handy when facing the most difficult quests in Arc Raiders, so be prepared to defeat these Sentinels over and over again.
