Tournaments and "rare achievements" are coming to Xbox One. Major Nelson reports that both features should be rolling out on the Xbox One Preview Program beginning today.
Arena mode will give players the opportunity to compete in amateur tournaments that will allow people to compete across the web and take part in the growing esports community. No word yet as to whether or not the mode will allow prizes or how it will be monitored for cheating.
As for the rare achievements, this is basically a catch up move with the PS4. Xbox will now start providing data as to what achievements in a game are common and rare. They also added a fancy new icon for those who unlock rare achievements...
That diamond is pretty awesome! It's a shame I won't be seeing it that often.
