We first looked at Spiritfarer back at the end of 2019, when The Game Awards and Steam partnered to show some exciting demos of games coming in 2020.
Now, months later, Thunder Lotus Games has shared a second look at the gameplay of the platformer with some reveals of the truly magical setting and the fast-moving characters. It looks like a unique world with a wonderful story that will unfold.
If you didn’t know, Spiritfarer is a management game that focuses on death and what comes after. Play as the ferrymaster, who will transport the deceased on his boat while taking care of the spirits. Guide them through the afterlife across beguiling waters and through awe-inspiring places.
It’s sure to be an interesting story.
The game will be available later this year on the Xbox One with Game Pass, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, as well as PC and Mac.
