As soon as you unlock the Blue Gate map in Arc Raiders, you will receive the A First Foothold quest, which is designed as more of a guide to the new zone rather than a normal quest.
Similar to other quests, such as Hatch Repairs, you will only need to interact with the objectives to complete the quest. The challenge this time around will be to find the exact locations of the four things spread across the entirety of the Blue Gate. How to complete A First Foothold quest in Arc Raiders
The A First Foothold quest tasks you to complete four different objectives, which are the following:
Stabilize the observation deck near the Ridgeline
Enable the comms terminal near the Olive Grove
Rotate the satellite dishes on the church roof, north of the Data Vault
Nail down the roof plates on the Raider structure near Trapper’s Glade
Each of these locations is placed at a different corner of the Blue Gate map. Unless you are extremely fast and you encounter no ARC enemies, then the best way to approach A First Foothold is to tackle one or two objectives per round. Be sure to focus on the locations nearest to your spawn point to maximize efficiency.
Stabilize the observation deck near the Ridgeline
Located in the southeastern part of the Blue Gate, you’ll locate the observation deck just east of the Ridgeline itself. Stabilize the deck by interacting with it, and you’ll complete this objective.
Enable the comms terminal near the Olive Grove
The Olive Grove is located in the southwester part of the Blue Gate. You can find the comms terminal west of the Olive Grove. As it is located near the Checkpoint, you might encounter ARC enemies, so don’t let your guard down. Interact with the comms terminal, and this objective is done.
Rotate the satellite dishes on the church roof, north of the Data Vault
The satellite dishes are on the northernmost part of the Blue Gate, north of both the Data Vault and the Headhouse. Climb on top of the destroyed church roof and interact with them to complete the objective.
Nail down the roof plates on the Raider structure near Trapper’s Glade
Finally, the roof plates are located on the northwest part of the Blue Gate, right next to the Trapper’s Glade icon on the map. Interact with the roof to complete the objective, and hopefully the quest in its entirety.
