Crossfire: Legion has been unleashed into Steam Early Access today, bringing classical RTS gameplay into the modern era. Prepare for action-packed combat between three rival factions as they fight for global supremacy! Set in the near future of the Crossfire universe, a crumbling society and corporate conflict threaten the world. Take control of one of 6 commanders and lead 45 different units into battle as you try to bring your ideology to the forefront of this broken planet.
From Blackbird Interactive, Smilegate, and Prime Matter, Crossfire: Legion features a narrative campaign that will continue to expand and evolve through development but launches with the first act available now. Acts 2, 3, and 4 will release later on during Early Access. Players’ competitive and strategic skills will be challenged by the expanded roster of commanders and units because knowing how to counter the enemy is just as important as understanding your own commander’s abilities in the multiplayer battlegrounds. A thrilling co-op mode will see players teaming up to face off against the AI, or create your own AI Skirmish to practice skills alone.
While Crossfire: Legions launches to Early Access today, much more content will be introduced down the road. New maps and units will expand the already hefty roster, and new game modes like Battle Royal and Round Robin will be unveiled. Fan-requested features such as a built-in replay system, ESL-backed competitive tournaments, and user-generated content tool will also be released at a later date.
