Developer DigixArt and publisher Ravenscourt have announced that their 2021 dystopian adventure game Road 96 will be expanding into new territory when it comes to PlayStation and Xbox consoles this Spring. This follows hot on the heels of the game taking home multiple wins at the Pégases Awards, including Best Indie Game, Best Accessibility, and Best Narrative Design.
Taking place in the summer of 1996, Road 96 tasks the player with making their escape across the border and out of the authoritarian nation of Petria. This high-stakes road trip will introduce the player to varied, exciting environments, meeting interesting characters all along the way. The story gives the player plenty of room to choose how they will make their escape, and these stories will intertwine as the game progresses. With beautiful graphics, and a soundtrack heavily inspired by the sounds of the ‘90s, the game takes inspiration from filmmakers such as Quentin Tarantino, and The Coen Brothers, making for a unique experience.
Road 96 is available now on both Steam and the Nintendo Switch, and will release for PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on April 14.
