At Gamescom 2022 TaleWorlds Entertainment has announced that their highly-acclaimed strategy APRG Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord would make the leap from Steam Early Access to full release on PC, Xbox and Playstation consoles on the 25th of October this year.
Developed by TaleWorld Entertainment and published by Prime Matter, the Mount And Blade series has since 2008 found a niche right between conventional RPG and strategy games. The player takes on the role of the leader of a band of soldiers. This leader can ply their trade by assisting an existing power, or strike off on their own to form a new faction. The emphasis of the combat is on large-scale battles, with whole armies clashing in open field skirmishes and tight sieges. Rather than commanding from far above, the player experiences the fight firsthand, being able to wade in with a weapon to deal some damage.
The new addition, Bannerlord develops the aspects of the previous games in the series, brings a newly updated world, a considerably advanced combat system, and shiny new visuals.
Mount And Blade II: Bannerlord will release on October the 25th, for Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Microsoft Windows. It is currently available on Steam Early Access, and will enter its 1.0 release on the same date
