How Long is Phantom Blade Zero?

One of the most anticipated action RPGs (Wuxia twist included) is here, and with an expansive world and many, many fights to conquer, players are most likely wondering how much time they will spend in the Phantom World. As you might expect, the answer is a big “it depends.” Continue reading to learn how long it will take you to beat S-GAME’s Phantom Blade Zero.

How long to beat Phantom Blade Zero?

While Phantom Blade Zero does feature massive areas and offers a sense of freedom in terms of quest completion, the game itself is particularly linear, aside from some backtracking (which is pretty much a non-issue thanks to the crane bells).

If you choose to focus on the game’s main story, you are looking to invest around 25 to 30 hours in Phantom Blade Zero. This, of course, depends on the difficulty of choice, with higher difficulties demanding more powerful weapons through upgrading.

Side content bumps up the in-game timer, and players will soon notice that these take a particular focus in the Phantom World. Collecting Sha-Chi Amber Shards, Blackstone Shards, and Memory Flowers, which in turn will open the way to new abilities, getting all crane bells, grabbing all the weapons and Phantom Edges, completing every side quest, and defeating every boss could set you back a total of 50 hours, give or take.

Whether you’re a completionist and wish to open every single chest and find every single book in the Phantom World or you’re just a rush-to-the-end type of player, Phantom Blade Zero gives you a choice.

Phantom Blade Zero is available now on PlayStation 5 and PC.
