From time to time in Phantom Blade Zero, you will encounter various colorful characters who will ask you for the most extravagant items. Well, how about a rogue Shadow Warden who just wants to feel what freedom is like once again? Thankfully, Soul is here to grant the request, so continue reading to learn where to find the Primal Stone in Phantom Blade Zero.
Where to find the Primal Stone in Phantom Blade Zero
Once you reach the upper level of the Valley Sha-Chi Tower, you will find a rather curious individual called the Watchful Shadow Warden. He, along with the other members of his order, was tasked with killing you. Thankfully, just like Soul, he is a traitor, so he chooses to approach our protagonist with a non-violent approach.
Instead, he tells us that he is in search of an item called the Primal Stone. Its power is said to be able to break the Mindseal, a mechanism that ensures that members of The Order remain loyal and compliant. Our friendly, masked man wants to be freed from the Mindseal, and since Soul is a stand-up guy, he offers to help him find the Primal Stone.
If you’re the exploration type, you might have noticed a furnace missing a crank on the tower’s first floor. Spoiler alert: you need to find the crank.
So, keep climbing the tower past the Shadow Warden, climb on top of what remains of the pipes, turn left, and go down a ladder.
Once you do, you will encounter a transcended foe. Dispose of him, which shouldn’t be an issue, and he will drop the Sha-Chi Furnace Inspection Crank.
Return to the furnace and use the inspection crank to open it. Inside, you will find the Primal Stone. Give it to the Shadow Warden, and he will eat it. After some inner bursting, our invisible friend will once again taste freedom, concluding this first encounter.
