Tarsier Studios is back with Reanimal, a spiritual successor to their Little Nightmares games that is also a horror adventure co-op game. You once again play as small people in a world with large, terrifying monsters in a dark, atmospheric world.
This is an entirely separate game from Little Nightmares, so the time it’ll take to see it through may not be as immediately clear. Nevertheless, we’ve played it, so we can give you a good answer to how long it’ll take you to beat Reanimal.
How long will it take to beat Reanimal?
During a typical playthrough of Reanimal, it should take you around 5 hours to complete. The length of the game can easily be longer if you’re someone who likes to collect achievements and find every collectable you can find, which could push the playthrough to around 7 hours.
Reanimal is a pretty linear game, but it gives you the feeling of openness when you’re driving your boat on the open water. Still, the collectibles, such as the posters, masks, and coffins (which have to do with the secret ending), are scattered around the levels in rooms and areas that are often well-hidden.
Even after a single playthrough, you may be missing quite a lot of collectibles. Upon starting a new game after finishing one, you can chapter select, making it easier to grab collectibles you may have missed. All of this can make for a lengthier game, but it’s also possible to finish Reanimal in one sitting.
Also, since Reanimal is available to play alone or with a friend, a co-op playthrough could take a bit longer than normal, depending on how well you two play together.
