How to Craft and Use Teleporters in Hytale

GuidesHytaleby Samuel Moreno

The worlds generated in Hytale are pretty massive, even if you do manage to awkwardly tame a horse to ride now and then. Thankfully, you can set up your own fast travel system by crafting Teleporters.

You’ll need to work through a couple of different workbenches and gather lots of resources before you can start using them. Here’s everything you need to know to make traveling a lot easier in Hytale.

How to Craft Teleporters in Hytale

The first step to take towards unlocking Teleporters is to upgrade your Workbench to Tier 2. That means you need to gather 30 Copper Ingots, 20 Iron Ingots, and 20 Linen Scrap. All of these can be found within the starting Emerald Wilds zone. The Copper and Iron Ores are found underground, while the Linen Scraps can be looted from most Skeletal enemies.

After that’s been upgraded, you can head to the Crafting tab to make an Arcanist’s Workbench. This needs 10 Thorium Ingots, 30 Linen Scraps, and 20 Essences of the Void. Thorium Ore can be mined out in the Howling Sands zone, while Essences of the Void are dropped by hostile monsters with glowing green eyes that spawn during the night.

Teleporters can then finally be crafted at an Arcanist’s Workbench. The ingredients to make a pair of Teleporters are 8 Azure Logs, 2 Azure Kelp, and 10 of any stone.

Azure items can be found within the Emerald Wilds zone, near a mini-biome of sorts that features multiple blue trees and flowers. Opening up your map and looking for any blue-colored areas is the quickest way to locate them. Knock down the trees here for the Azure Logs and keep an eye out for glowing foliage inside ponds to gather Azure Kelp.

Only two Teleporters can be placed at first, but this amount can be increased by submitting Collected Memories to the Altar inside the Forbidden Gateway. Surpassing every progress goal increases the Maximum Teleporter limit by one or two. Even though the initial goal of recording ten memories doesn’t mention it, this also increases the limit by one.

How to Use Teleporters in Hytale

Teleporters that are successfully placed can be interacted with by pressing the “F” key. This opens up a menu with a Target Warp drop-down list and a Warp name. The former configures where the Teleporter will take you, while the latter sets the name for this particular Teleporter.

We highly recommend that you give these accurate names. Since you don’t look at a map to decide which Teleporter to connect to, and instead choose from a list of their names, it will help if you can recognize where they all go.

Try to leave at least four blocks of space in front of them as well. Using a Teleporter will send you three-and-a-half blocks in front of the targeted one. If there is anything in the way, you’ll phase through and start suffocating. It will take a while to kill you, but it’s best to avoid the embarrassment and potentially lost items.
