Gamescom Opening Night Live gave us a look at a lot games we are excited for in the remainder of 2025, but we also got a look at games coming later in 2026 and a first look at them. With Gamescom set to go on for a few more days, we still have a lot to look forward to, but here are all of the announcements during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025.
Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Reveal
We got confirmation on the November 14th release date but also a first look at the campaign and details about the game with new features that a lot of fans will definitely be looking forward to closer to the release date.
Lords of the Fallen 2
A sequel to the 2023 RPG, the seequel brings a lot more to the table With a 2026 release date, we still have plenty of time to have a look at gameplay and more details.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
An extensive Batman focused LEGO game that is set to borrow from a lot of different source materials and is doing a lot of firsts in the LEGO game series, such a difficulty setting. WIth a 2026 release date and a decent gameplay trailer to boot, this is definitely one game that you should put on your watchlist!
Monster Hunter Wilds x Final Fantasy XIV Crossover event
A cross collaboration was announced between Monster Hunter Wilds and Final Fantasy XIV. Both games will include content for each other and will drop for both games in Late September 2025 with more details to follow. Fans of either game are in for a great time!
Onimusha: Way Of The Sword
Another 2026 bound title, this one is the return of a legacy Capcom IP and features brand new fighting, story, and much more! The latest trailer gives us a further look at what we can expect from the game and maybe look forward to more details.
A First Look At Fallout Season 2
After the critical success of Fallout Season 1, we got a frist look at Season 2 with the setting, characters, and story. It is set to air later this year on Amazon Prime on December 17th.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle™: The Order of Giants
We got a first look at Indiana Jones and the Great Circle™: The Order of Giants. The upcoming DLC will feature a brand new story and content for players who have been craving more Indy in their lives. The DLC will come to PS5, PC and Xbox consoles on September 4th, and the game closed off with an announcement for a Nintendo Switch 2 port coming in 2026.
John Carpenter's Toxic Commando First Look
A John Carpenter original game, published by Focus Interactive - the game takes place in the future where an attempt to harness the power of the Earth’s core causes a catastrpohic disaster to occur and turns the soil into the catalyst that causes the humans to turn into undead monster. This is another 2026 title that we can’t wait to see more on.
Death By Scrolling - A New Game By Ron Gilbert
Ron Gilbert is the brilliant mind behind a lot of point and click adventure games, most notably the Monkey Island series. This is his first time in a long while working on something out of a familiar genre and I have to say it looks absolutely fun! The game did not share arelease date.
Ninja Gaiden 4 - Story Trailer
We got a first look at the story trailer for Ninja Gaiden 4 and after what feels like forever, we finally see the return of the legendary series after 2 console generations. In a time when brutal hack and slash games have become a favorite among gamers, its good to see a familiar face return to the ring. The game is set to release later this year on October 21st 2025.
Silent Hill f - Story Trailer
We got a first look at the story of Silent Hill F story. This is a first in the series for Silent Hill as previously our protagonist would travel to Silent Hill but this time, Silent Hill has come to our protagonist. As Hinako Shimizu’s home of Ebisugaoka gets taken over by a fog, her home is now turned into a living nightmare. She must overcome various dangers that lurk in the fog, solve puzzles, and find out the reason for the fog This is one game I am thoroughly excited for! It is set to release on September 25th, 2025.
Cronos: The New Dawn Gameplay Trailer
A brand new trailer from Bloober Team’s upcomiong survival horror game - Cronos: The New Dawn. After their immense success with Silent Hill 2 remake, fans are now excited to see what the studio is cooking up with this new entry that is being called “the next Dead Space”. Cronos: The New Dawn is set for a September 25th 2025 release date.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 - Release Date Announced
A sequel that has been in the making and waiting for many years now, will finally release. It got a brand new trailer showing off gameplay and story and confirms an October 21st 2025 release date.
Cult of the Lamb got a brand new DLC trailer
Cult of the lamb added a brand new DLC to the offering table. Woolhaven will take players to a new location with new creatures to play with. It currently has an Early 2026 release date so you will not have to wait long to play it.
Ghost of Yotei - Song of Vengeance
Another trailer that talks about the protagonist, Atsu and their journey on redemption and revenge against the infamous Yotei 6. The game is releasing later this year on October 2nd, 2025.
Resident Evil: Requiem gameplay trailer
We got our first look at Resident Evil: Requiem gameplay as we take a look at a flashback of the protagonist - Grace Ashford and see the circumstances that caused her mothers death. The game is set to release on February 27th, 2026.
Game Science's New Title | Black Myth: Zhong Kui
A sequel to massively successful Black Myth: Wukong, this entry will take us on a journey of a famous Chinese folk tale of “Zhong Kui”. No release window was mentioned so we think this is one that was meant to close off the show as this could be a late 2026 or beyond release.
Overall Gamescom was great and had a lot of great announcements and surprises for everyone. We hope that the continued days do not dissapoint.
